HELLUUUU.
Yeah I haven't been blogging recently. After Os, I was probably busy, yeah, busy slacking. LOL.
Kinda relieved that Os is finally over, but I am not looking forward to receiving my results in January... I tried my very best not to allow any 'screw-ups' for my Os, but I failed to prevent it.. :/ I can only pray for the very best - to obtain my desired results.
On a brighter note, 22nd Nov was the Malacca trip & 23rd Nov was Prom Night. I shall elaborate in further detail about these 2 consecutive events in the following paragraphs.
Malacca Trip 221111
Report at school @ 6am. Marked attendance and waited for the bus to arrive. Boarded the bus and the long bus journey began. Cleared customs and reached Malaysia around 8, or 9 something? Stopped by a rest point for some of us to have breakfast and buy stuff. Bus journey continued towards Malacca Town. Alighted the bus. Greeted with rows and rows of shophouses selling mostly coffee and pineapple tarts. Free-and-easy shopping and walking around Jonkers Street with Felicia, Jerelyn, ZuoLi, Bridget, Valerie Ho (all the 4e8 girls who went for the trip). Proceeded to have lunch at a Peranakan Restaurant. To my disappointment, the food that was served to us was not Peranakan food, but it seemed to me like it was the normal home-cooked food. Of course, we still had our meal there. After that, we headed to the Peranakan Museum, where we waited outside for about 20 mins as it was not opened when we arrived.. -.-'' The tour around the museum was indeed educational and I did learn a thing or two about the Peranakans. Moved on to do some more shopping, which I thought defeated the purpose of it being an educational tour. Then we were brought to some historical sites and taught the significance of the area, such as the St. Paul's Church. Finally, we took the coach to our final destination (before arriving at Singapore), which was a seafood restaurant to have dinner. Again, to my disappointment, there wasn't any seafood being served, with the exception of a fried fish dish. But still, the food was nice. The 2 locations that we had our meals were more like tze char stalls to me, rather than the restaurant that they were named to be. That more or less summed up the whole trip. Arrived @ SG around 9 or 10 something. Reached home about 11.
The trip did not turn out as expected because the original itinerary that we were given was different from the one that we went to. This was because our school had engaged another tour agency (which was cheaper) after we had paid for the trip thru our Edusave. So the itinerary that we received was actually the one by the previous tour agency.
I felt that the younger teachers (I shall not name them) who went with us for the trip were not really helpful or friendly. They just stuck among themselves and didn't really bother much about our welfare and things like that. It was more like they were doing their own thing. The teacher whom I felt really cared for us was Mr Sim. Yeah, I know that I shouldn't be too meticulous over such small details (as it is just a trip to our neighbouring country, Malaysia), but it just doesn't feel right to me luh. I don't really know how to put it, but if you were there with us, you may have felt and understood what I mean. I felt that the trip itself was not exactly very fun. What made it fun was the company around us - our friends and classmates - which brightened up the whole trip and made it more enjoyable. My initial purpose of going for this trip was because I had never gone overseas with the school, so this was a good opportunity for me to try out before I left the school.
Btw, Jerelyn is a really FUNNY & ENTERTAINING person. HAHA. :D
P.S.: Pictures of the trip are available on my Facebook.
Prom Night 2011 231111
The whole preparation started off around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I went to Amanda's house so that she could help me out a little bit with my nails. Haha. Daddy came over to fetch us and then we went to Tanah Merah to pick up the other girls (Cassandra, Shermin and Jiaying). Amazingly, there wasn't any jam so we arrived at Holiday Inn Atrium 1 hour earlier than expected. Walked around the hotel.. We couldn't enter the ballroom yet even though we had already arrived.. Finally entered around 6.45, 7pm. Took pics. Emcee was Mr Marc Chong. Dinner was buffet. Food was reasonable, except that the noodles were pretty weird.. Had some games, performances and lucky draw going on. I didn't know how on earth time passed so quickly and it was already time to go.. Lol. Sang the school song for the last time and took a group pic tgt. Pictures are all available on Facebook.
A Night To Remember? I'm not so sure.. I didn't really find it memorable, but at least it was enjoyable. Not many teachers came too..
Have been searching for jobs recently.. Applied for many, but few called me back. Hope to find a job soon! :)
So basically this is what has been happening in my life for the past few weeks, and I shall end here.
Bye! :D
