I hadn't planned on writing this post, but looking at quite a couple of such end-of-the-year-posts on my Facebook, I'd thought to try it too!
Okay, so here goes...
2012 was a pretty exciting year I guess. At least a year that's a little different from my past 16 years.
Some highlights of the year...
It started off with receiving my 'O' Level results that were not too bad, but a little disappointing for me as I had definitely expected more. After that came my enrolment into Meridian JC. Immediately after, was my selection of subject combination that I screwed up in making my decision and ended up getting a class transfer and landing in a class I wished I had never made the transfer. So made new classmates and friends in school. Then joined Photography Club. Definitely something I hadn't foreseen myself in, but it was really a new experience. Then came Road Race 2012, where someone had pushed me and I grazed both my knees and had to seek medical attention on the spot. It was the first time such a thing had happened to me during a run. Around this time period, I got my PW groupings where my life started to struggle and I kept moaning and groaning. Remembered running for Photog Exco, but failed. Another experience that I didn't have when I was in secondary school as I didn't have the guts. Signed up for some CIP thingy that was really interesting. Never knew CIP could be that fun. Hahaha. Not long after came the MYE, which I did poorly for. In between was some Funfestique and Colosseum, both of which I didn't really take part in. And then was Promos (if I'm not wrong), which I had made improvement relative to my MYE (phew!). After that was the Taiwan Trip 2012 with MJC's Chinese Department! I had never been on a overseas school trip, so kudos for me!
Hmm I guess that's all I can remember! Maybe I'll look thru FB some other time and add in some stuff I missed out.
I know my life is kind of boring, with all the highlights related to school. Nothing like 'I got my Silver medal in Swimming competition' or stuff like that. Well, that's my life. But something I'm really glad about is that throughout the year, I have kept in touch with my dear Pasirian friends, be it those in MJC or outside MJC. Especially those in MJC, we greet each other in school, chat, study, rant, eat etc. And those outside MJC, we still talk online and meet up occasionally, which is not too bad either. I'm really happy and thankful to have these great bunch of friends from Pasir Ris Secondary who'll always be my listening ear and bring me bundles of joy. I truly cherish the friendship that we share! :)
So, the year is coming to an end. Believe it or not, this has been a tough but 'new' year for me with many unique experiences! Next year is bound to be full of ups and downs with the 'A' Levels coming, but that's how life is, isn't it? :)
