The long-awaited O Level Results

Here are my O Level Results:

English - A2
Chinese - A1
E Maths - A1
A Maths - A2
Combined Humanities (Geog, SS) - A2
Physics - A2
Chemistry - A2
Biology - B3

L1R5: 10 - 2 (cca) = 8
L1R4: 8 - 2 (cca) = 6

7 Distinctions. Not bad. But the number of A1s fell short of my expectations. Quite disappointing as I was expecting about 4 A1s.. turned out that there were only 2 A1s. :(

I thought that I would be getting both A1s for my E and A Maths, but I didn't.. Maths is supposed to be my forte, but I didn't get what I wanted.. Haiz. :( And, I was really hoping to see more A1s than A2s, because I knew that if I scored many A2s, my L1R5 would be very high.. Oh well.. :/

Went up on stage to collect my cert. Nothing to be proud of whatsoever, because my friends who didn't go up on stage scored the same points as me, or even lower.. :(

On a better note, I'm really extremely surprised that I got an A2 for my English. I really duno what to say. Knowing that I really suck at English, I was expecting a B4 or B3.. I was even so afraid that I would fail, and I was extremely relieved when I heard that PRSS 4E'11 had a 100% pass for English!! That's a really big WOW. But i'm really thankful that I had Miss Tan as my English teacher at sec 4. She's an amazing teacher, honestly. But sadly, she's leaving the school to work at the MOE HQs.. Many great teachers are going to/have left our school. I'm really doubtful if we'll continue to do as well.. I really hope we can maintain or do even better..! :) Also very glad that we didn't fail Ms Cheng :D

Going to submit my JAE form tonight.. Here is the list of schools i've chosen:

1) MJC
2) NYJC
3) AJC
4) SAJC
5) SRJC

5 JCs, and the rest would be Poly. I was hoping to be able to get into TJC, but I am short of 2 points.. Wanted to try my luck by putting it as my 1st choice, but after thinking long and hard, I decided that I would be risking MJC (which is a popular school) if I did put TJC as my 1st choice. Eventually, I decided to remove it from my choice. Kinda sad that I can't get into TJC though..

Anyway, our top scholar was, surprisingly, Yu Shan and not the twin bros (Pan Fei / Pan Zi). She scored 5 A1s and 4 A2s. Smart girl. She's really hardworking and I'm really happy for her.

Finally, I hope that everyone would get into their dream school/course and continue to excel in their studies regardless wherever they end up at! :)
