Okay so a lot has actually happened in my life thus far. But I haven't actually been updating here lah.
First was that my bro is back from Maldives (did I even mention that he went there for his Poly Internship..?).
Second, my previous maid left us about a couple of weeks ago, so we had to do housework on our own. I was actually kinda happy (strange right?) that I had the chance to finally do my own household chores. These are skills which are definitely not taught in school (well, apart from Home Econs maybe) and I felt that I benefited a lot from this period of time. I helped with cooking, cutting stuff, sweeping the floor, folding clothes, washing the dishes and a few more I think. Probably because I was not the one doing the bulk of the work (my sister was the one since she quit her job and was preparing her stuff for her Aussie studies), I enjoyed it a lot. But anyway, that time has come and gone as the new maid just arrived yesterday. Well, she's really petite and came with a cough, so we still can't really evaluate her abilities as of now yet.
Third, in my second point, I mentioned about my sister going to Australia for her studies.. Yeap, at UQ for 2 years. Kinda long eh. I'll definitely miss her even if we get to skype or something weekly.. gotta somehow get used to it. I might consider joining her in Australia after my MOE internship ends! Oh, and Zhi Xuan is there too (at the same Uni as well!), so I might also be visiting her too! :D
Forth, my MOE internship has been really fun. Although I haven't actually blogged a single thing here about it (and I don't intend to due to privacy and whatsoever reasons), it has been pretty amazing so far. I met this really outgoing intern, Thiri, from Dunman High. We share with one another a lot of things (yeah like really a lot of personal stuff), and it has been great to know her! :) She's a vegetarian (actually the first I have met in my life I think), and a devout Buddhist. Oh, and she's not local too. She's a Chinese Burmese from Myanmar. Despite our differences, somehow we still managed to hit off quite well in the beginning and we've been getting along well since then. :D But anyway, apart from that, the teaching aspect of this internship has provided me with greater insights into teaching (from a teacher's POV) and the challenges that I will face if I do take up this career. I'm already coming to the last few weeks of the internship, and starting to wonder if teaching is really suited for me, and vice versa. Hmmm...
Anyway, some family drama is going on right now, including some rumours about me and my bro's desire to leave. Will update more soon. Probably..
Kay bye!
